SUGAR LAND (Oct. 15, 2024) – Get ready for a spook-tacular adventure as Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center conjures up some wickedly fun frights with “Halloween at the BOOscovery Center,” now through Oct. 31, 2024 (Closed Mondays and Tuesdays).  From mummy-approved slime workshops to boo-tiful monster interactives, this Halloween bash will have your little goblins and ghouls cackling with delight. Come have a gourd time!
 

• TRICK-OR-TREAT EVERY DAY:  Safe trick-or-treating daily from 3 to 5 p.m. on weekdays; and all day on weekends. Witch way to the candy? 

• GET IN THE SPIRIT:  Strut your stuff by showing off your Halloween costume and receive $2 off admission, now to Oct. 25.  (Discount taken at Welcome Center per person in costume for onsite purchases only).  Tell your mummy! 
• OOZE IN AMAZEMENT:  Enjoy a dose of gross with slime making on Oct. 19 and 26.  Hide and eek! 
• BE BOO-FFLED:  Prepare to be bewitched by the scarily good illusions of Jamie Salinas!  He’ll conjure up mind-bending magic that'll leave you spooked and amazed on Oct. 19

Join us for a day of bone-chilling fun with mad scientist shows, slime-tastic workshops, and frightful performances!
 

• Mad (Scientist) About Hoops:  Watch as our mad scientist gets up to some “spin”-tingling stunts.  At 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Kidtropolis Central.
• Spooky Magic Show:  Prepare to be boo-ffled by this spook-tacular magic show!  At noon in Kidtropolis Central.
• Slime Workshops:  Slime fans, get ready!  Mix it up with three types of creepy slime at the top of every hour, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in OcuSOFT Art Academy.

Get into the spirit with villainous face painting, eerie slime-making, and a special boo-tiful meet-and-greet with your favorite villains!

• Face Painting:  Enjoy a fang-tastic face painting session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside Fort Bend Christian Academy in Kidtropolis, USA.
• Villain Story Time:  Don’t miss Cruella de Vil at 11 a.m. and the Queen of Hearts at 1 p.m. for some wickedly good storytelling in Kidtropolis Central.
• Ghost Bubbles:  Get ready for ghostly giggles as you create hauntingly huge ghost Bubbles at the Science Station.

• BOO!kmarks:  Keep the Halloween spirit alive even in your books! Craft your own spooky BOO!kmark in OcuSOFT Art Academy and never lose your place again.
• Ghost Garland: One ghost is spooky, but five are even spookier! After reading “Five Little Ghosts” by Patricia Hegarty, craft your own ghost garland to haunt your home in Junktion. 
• Ghost Rings:  Experiment with spooky air vortexes as you create your own boo-tiful ghost rings in Science Station.
• Mystery Boxes:  Are you brave enough to stick your hand into the mystery box? Face your fears all day in Science Station.
• And of course… trick-or-treat the afternoon away in this fang-tastic finale to our BOOscovery Halloween celebration!
