17th Annual Fort Bend Spring Brunch raises nearly $45,000 in support of outreach to area families
SUGAR LAND (May 16, 2022) – Friends of the
Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center – A Very Special Project of Children’s Museum Houston, gathered to celebrate the
Hats, Gloves and Boutonnières: 17th Annual Fort Bend Spring Brunch inside the palatial home of Manmeet and Paul Likhari on May 6. The event was a resounding success
raising nearly $45,000 for the Discovery Center and its outreach programs in Fort Bend County.
Sporting colorful dresses and swanky hats, about 150 guests enjoyed a delectable brunch menu catered by Demeris and accompanied by sparkling rosé and mimosas.
This year, the Fort Bend Spring Brunch was co-chaired by the Discovery Center’s council which include: Dr. Betty Baitland, Jackie Bergdoll, Ammie Blahuta, Dawn Golden Brule, Debbie Buckner, Nell Ciancarelli, Debbie Fash, Seleria Fletcher, Susie Goff, Sam Golden, Lynn Halford, Dee Hinkle, Dr. Huma Jafry, Shefali Jhaveri, Bernice King, Rachel Leaman, Manmeet Likhari, Jim McClellan, Ruthanne Mefford, Cara Millas, Charlene Pate, Jonathan Rao and Judy Schmid.
