Diwali Craft Workshops: Celebrate the Festival of Lights with hands-on crafts that highlight Diwali’s joyful traditions and the triumph of light over darkness.
When: From 9 am to 12 pm in Art Academy

Hindus of Greater Houston – Rangoli Art: Explore the vibrant art of Rangoli, learning its history and meaning while creating your own colorful design to celebrate happiness and good fortune. 
When: From 10 am to 1 pm in Kidtropolis Town Center

Diwali Storytime: Enjoy engaging stories that celebrate the traditions and joyful spirit of Diwali, the Festival of Lights. 
When: At 11 am & 1 pm in Kidtropolis Town Center

Silambam Houston: Watch talented young artists bring traditional Indian dance to life through this high-energy performance.

Kandil Lanterns: Let’s make Kandil lanterns to celebrate the holiday of Diwali!  People from the Hindu community believe the glow from these lights welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, into the household.

Chalk Rangolis: Create vibrant chalk rangolis, inspired by traditional designs that welcome the goddess Lakshmi and honor the triumph of light over darkness.

Diya Lamp Banner: Join us in making paper diya lamps to honor the celebration of Diwali.  Diwali is a festival of light triumphing over darkness and is one of the most important religious festivals in Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism.
